Study to show yourself approved by God, a workman that needs not be ashamed, rightly dividing the Word of Truth. (2 Timothy 2:15)

History

Toward the end of 2012, several families attending a local congregation, realized the south-west side of town did not have a theologically reformed, Bible-based, non-denominational, evangelical, God-honoring, Christian church. That local congregation worked with these families through prayer and support, looking together into God's will for a new ministry in this area. After many meetings, Bible studies, and 40 days of meeting together in prayer, searching for God's will in this ministry, God led this group to establish Heritage Bible Church. It was during this time they realized, as Christians, they had one passion in common: to glorify God.

In pursuit of this passion, everything we need to know is prescribed in the place we find our heritage... the Bible, God's Holy Word.

On Sunday, March 10, 2013, these families were bathed in prayer during a wonderful church service. It was the last with their former congregation before being sent out to reach the other side of town with the gospel of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. The first service of Heritage Bible Church was held on Sunday, March 17, 2013, at a members home and was a wonderful time of worship through song, communion, and the preaching of God's Word.

The Bible is inspired and infallible and has been given to man from God, being passed down through the generations to this very moment. We will strive to pass on our heritage to our children, grandchildren, our community, and the world for the generations which are to come.

Hebrews 4:12 says, "The Word of God is alive and powerful, sharper than any two edged sword piercing even to the dividing even to the asunder of the soul and spirit and the joints and the marrow and is a critic of the thoughts and intents of the heart."

Christ, the Word made flesh, is the foundation of this Church!  As an Elder-led church, Christ is and always will be the head of this church; He will be acknowledged in all matters.

In 2 Timothy 4:2 we are commanded to, “Preach the word; be ready in season and out; reprove, rebuke, and exhort, with great patience and instruction," this is our heart, and the focus of our ministry.
